Pregnancy is a wonderful but also demanding time for your body. Prenatal massage helps you ease the typical discomforts of each trimester and connect with your wellbeing at this very special time.

The pregnancy massage I offer at my practice in Alpedrete is specially adapted to the needs of each stage of pregnancy, from the fourth month onwards. I use safe and comfortable positions (lying on your side with supporting cushions) so that you feel completely at ease throughout the session.

The techniques are gentle but effective: I work on the lower back (which carries the extra weight of the baby), the legs (fluid retention and heaviness) and the back and shoulders (postural tension). Every movement is designed to ease the most common discomforts of pregnancy without any risk to you or your baby.

Frequently asked questions

From which month can I have the massage?

You can come from the fourth month of pregnancy (week 13-14). The first trimester is avoided as a precaution, as it is the most delicate period of pregnancy.

Is it safe for my baby?

Completely. The techniques I use are specifically adapted for pregnancy: gentle pressure, safe side-lying positions, and contraindicated areas and pressure points are avoided. Your safety and your baby’s are my priority.

Can I come in the third trimester?

Yes, in fact that is when many pregnant women need it most, because of lower back discomfort and heavy legs. I adapt the positions with cushions so that you are comfortable even with a big bump.

Do I need to bring anything special?

No, just come in comfortable clothes. I have everything needed: massage table, supporting cushions, clean sheets and oils that are safe for pregnancy.

Would you like to look after yourself during your pregnancy?
