Sports massage is the perfect tool for sportspeople who want to perform better, recover better and prevent injuries. Whether you are a runner, cyclist or hiker, or practise any other sport, this massage is designed for you.
Living in the Sierra de Madrid means having access to incredible mountain routes, trails and roads for cycling. But it also means asking a lot of your body. The sports massage I offer at my practice in Alpedrete is specifically designed for the needs of sportspeople in the area.
I use deep-pressure techniques, cross-friction and assisted stretching to work on the muscle groups your sport demands most. The aim is to release muscle knots, improve blood circulation and prepare your muscles for the next training session.

Is it better before or after exercise?
It depends on the goal. Before exercise, a short massage activates the muscles and prepares the body. After exercise, it helps recovery and prevents muscle knots from forming. For maintenance, 24 to 48 hours after an intense effort is ideal.
Is sports massage very painful?
It can be intense in areas with a lot of tension or muscle knots, but I always work within your limits. Communication during the session is important to adjust the pressure to what you need.
How often should I have a sports massage?
For regular sportspeople, one session every 2-3 weeks is ideal for maintenance. If you are preparing for a competition or have specific discomfort, it may need to be more frequent.
